Fox9 Vulpus concept

This is a VERY old concept art i did for a game i was (naively) "trying" to make like 2 years ago, called Fox Nine. The game was going to be like Metroid, in which you had to explore many huge areas and gain new abilities in order to advance. At the time i realized that i lacked programming skills so i just scrapped all the designs i had, and then continued working on other stuff.
SO, a couple of days ago i was looking trough some old archives when i found some of these designs, and after remembering all the good times, i said to myself "hey, why not give it another shot?" (though now maybe i should do it as a comic or something like that).
For the characters, i wanted to mix elements of Metroid and Star Fox, like anthro with alien/cybernetic parts.
Here is the main character. At first i went for something more "alien-like" akin to Samus's armor (see the one on the right), then i did something more of a soldier, with armor on the legs and some stuff in the back that was supposed to give her the ability to jump higher (the one on the left).
I had to almost completely rework the final design (seriously, it looked bad D. Something i need to clarify is that it was a priority for me to make characters with more strict animal-like features, instead of the more human-like anthro i usually make. That's why the long neck and small legs.
